Obesity is becoming an “epidemic”!! I blame this partially on McDonalds nutrition!! The McDonalds Corporation is larger than you realize!! The company operates more than 20,000 restaurants in 100 countries on six continents!! Over half the population of the USA live within a three minute drive of a McDonald's. On average McDonald's opens a new restaurant every three hours. Now that’s a lot of grease!!

     The next Issue I’d like to address is the mistreatment of animals used in McDonald’s foods. McDonald's is the largest purchaser of beef in the USA!! And the USA is the largest purchaser of beef in the world! McD’s also purchases 5% of the US potato crop and 2% of US chicken production. Do you ever wonder how they get their meat so tender? I’ll tell you how!! They keep the cows in such small enclosed space they can hardly move so that they won’t grow muscle and tough meat. They “store” the animals in cramped windowless factory warehouses. What kind of life is that?? They don’t even live very long! When they are large enough they send the cows to slaughterhouses where they are hung upside down by chains (while conscious) and cruelly murdered for your next cheeseburger with fries!! But don’t forget those juicy chicken nuggets!! Ya know what they do to the chicks??  Of course not!! They take the baby chickys and throw them down shoots where they are carried on conveyor belts to be inspected by workers to see if they are right for processing so you can have your beloved chicken nuggets! If the babies don’t pass the test they throw (literally THROW) them down a shoot where they are taken and gassed by the hundreds! It’s almost like WWII all over again! This type of animal cruelty is hidden to the public eye. Imagine it was your beloved house pet going through that! Would you call the police? Of course you would! Don’t even try to say “oh it’s different” because its not!!!

    McDonalds is very rude and unethical. Why do I say this? I say this because of an incident in India where McDonalds claimed their fries were “100% vegetarian” which was a flat out lie because their fries are flavored with Beef flavoring. You may say “Well that’s not to bad. It’s not like their interfering with a persons rights. Right?” Wrong! The main religion of that area is Hinduism. In the Hindu religion they believe that the mother of the world is a cow therefore their religion bans the consumption of beef and all beef products.

  So next time you decide to order a McChicken or a Quarter pounder w/ cheese think of this article and go buy some organic fruit, wheat bread, no-nitrate ham, cheese and go have a picnic!!
